Marie Stopes International

Children by choice not chance.

Marie Stopes International is an international NGO focussing on the unmet need for family planning, eradicating unsafe abortion and fighting maternal mortality, by providing underserved communities with the fullest possible range of reproductive choices. This includes modern contraception, safe abortion services (where permitted), post-abortion care (PAC) and a range of maternal health services.

In 2010 alone, our 629 centres, across 40 countries provided seven million couples with high quality health services, including family planning; safe abortion & post-abortion care; maternal & child health care including safe delivery and obstetrics; diagnosis & treatment of sexually transmitted infections; and HIV/AIDS prevention.
